The right grind, on every grinder, in your product
BrewMark maps every grinder’s dial onto one open scale. Plug it into your brewer, your bags or your assistant, and each customer gets a setting for the grinder they actually own.
01Smart brewer and coffee app makers
Your brewer runs a recipe precisely, but the customer grinds on a grinder you didn’t make. If the grind is wrong, the first cup is wrong, and it looks like your machine’s fault.
- A “grind for this recipe” line in your app, for the grinder each customer owns, written as their dial prints it.
- Recipes as Open Brew Profiles: one format that names a grind target, so roaster recipes work on your machine and every grinder.
- Anonymous first-cup ratings from your users, if you send them, improving the translation for everyone.
02Roasters and coffee shops
You write one brew recipe, and most customers can’t follow its grind, because “medium-fine” or “18 clicks” means something different on every grinder.
- A code for the bag. Each customer who scans it sees the setting for their own grinder.
- Change the recipe any time without reprinting the bag.
- Ratings per grinder, so you can see who finds it sour and say what to change.
03Grinder makers
Your customers follow recipes written for other grinders, then blame your grinder when the cup is off.
- Your grinder translated accurately in every app, brewer and assistant that uses the protocol.
- Your own brew chart used as the source for your grinder, labelled as yours.
- A path to a BrewMark Grind Index ring on your dial, so any recipe’s target reads straight off it.
04AI assistants and shopping agents
Grind settings are where assistants guess most. Users get confident, wrong numbers for the grinder they own.
- An MCP server with tools for settings, conversion, dialing in and recipes from a bag code.
- A REST API for the same answers, each saying how it’s known (maker’s chart or estimated).
- Free at normal volume; a key for more.
Plans
| Plan | For | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Open | Anyone | The spec, the API without a key at a lower rate, the MCP server. Free. |
| Approved key | Developers, roasters | A daily quota and 300 calls a minute, usage counts, publishing bag codes and insights for roasters. Free; reviewed by a person. |
| Partner | Brewer makers, platforms, retailers | Volume beyond an approved key, an uptime commitment, support and a data agreement. Priced per partner. |
What we promise partners
- Neutral. BrewMark doesn’t make grinders or brewers or sell coffee, and no partner can buy a better translation.
- Open. The spec is MIT-licensed. You can read, write and validate profiles without us.
- Honest. Every number says whether it comes from a maker’s chart or is estimated.
