1Zpresso K-Plus vs Kinu M47 Classic
Two hand grinders cross-shopped at the same money. The K-Plus counts 180 clicks; the M47 Classic counts 100 clicks.

| K-Plus | M47 Classic | |
|---|---|---|
| Brand | 1Zpresso | Kinu |
| Scale | Clicks | Clicks |
| Dial range | 0 clicks – 180 clicks | 0 clicks – 100 clicks |
| Burrs | Conical | Conical |
| Espresso → filter | 46 clicks | 35 clicks |
| Filter → coarse | 105 clicks | 40 clicks |
The same number means different things
Both grinders use a clicks, which makes it tempting to copy a number straight across. Setting 50 clicks sits at grind index 8.2 on the K-Plus but 47 on the M47 Classic — far enough apart to change the cup.
Converting a setting
If a recipe quotes a setting for one of these grinders, read across for the equivalent on the other. Rows are spaced evenly by grind size, not by dial number — on a conical burr those are not the same thing.

The shape of each dial
Where the connectors bunch, that grinder’s dial is compressed and single steps count for more. Comparing the two shapes tells you which gives finer control, and where.
1Zpresso K-Plus
Kinu M47 Classic
Dialing in the K-Plus
Same family as the K-Max with a longer body and more capacity. Dialling behaviour is close enough that K-Max notes transfer; the difference you feel is grind speed, not grind character.
Dialing in the M47 Classic
A heavy, precision-built hand grinder with stepless adjustment and genuine espresso capability. The lack of detents means repeatability depends on your own reference marks — the settings here are targets rather than clicks.
