1Zpresso JX-Pro vs 1Zpresso K-Plus
Two 1Zpresso models whose numbers do not mean the same thing. The JX-Pro counts 200 clicks; the K-Plus counts 180 clicks.
Which to buy
Choose the
JX-Pro if you…
- want smaller clicks: 12.5 microns each, 40 a turn
- pull espresso as well as pour over — 1Zpresso rates it for both
Choose the
K-Plus if you…
- dose into a portafilter — the magnetic catch cup has a blind-shaker base for various sizes
- grind larger doses — 35–40 g
- want a travel case in the box

1Zpresso's K series page marks the K-Plus discontinued and points buyers to the K-Ultra. 1Zpresso's JX-Pro page now shows the JX-Pro S as out of stock and unavailable, while its J series page still lists the JX-Pro.

The same number means different things
Both grinders use a clicks, which makes it tempting to copy a number straight across. Setting 90 clicks sits at grind index 13.1 on the JX-Pro but 64.2 on the K-Plus — far enough apart to change the cup.
Converting a setting
If a recipe quotes a setting for one of these grinders, read across for the equivalent on the other. Rows are spaced evenly by grind size, not by dial number — on a conical burr those are not the same thing.

The shape of each dial
Where the connectors bunch, that grinder’s dial is compressed and single steps count for more. Comparing the two shapes tells you which gives finer control, and where.

Dialing in the JX-Pro
External adjustment makes this the easiest hand grinder to actually dial, because you can count clicks without disassembling anything. Its filter range is generous, which is a mixed blessing — small click changes do less than you expect at the coarse end and more than you expect near espresso. Move in larger jumps for French press, single clicks for anything under filter.
Dialing in the K-Plus
Same family as the K-Max with a longer body and more capacity. Dialling behaviour is close enough that K-Max notes transfer; the difference you feel is grind speed, not grind character.
