Eureka Mignon Single Dose vs Eureka Mignon Specialita
Two Eureka models whose numbers do not mean the same thing. Both turn 0–24 rotations — and the same number is not the same grind.

Which to buy
Choose the
Mignon Single Dose if you…
- single-dose — a 45 g hopper and an anti-retention system aimed at zero retention
- want 65 mm flat burrs with Eureka's Pure Diamond treatment
- are buying used — Eureka now lists the Single Dose Pro and Single Dose Brew instead
Choose the
Mignon Specialita if you…
- want a 300 g hopper and two timed doses
- want brew as well as espresso — Eureka lists it as all purpose
- want to buy new from Eureka
Eureka's current Oro range lists the Mignon Single Dose Pro and Single Dose Brew instead of the original Single Dose.

The same number means different things
Both grinders use a rotations, which makes it tempting to copy a number straight across. Setting 12.0 rotations sits at grind index 74.3 on the Mignon Single Dose but 74.3 on the Mignon Specialita — close, but worth checking.
Converting a setting
If a recipe quotes a setting for one of these grinders, read across for the equivalent on the other. Rows are spaced evenly by grind size, not by dial number — on a conical burr those are not the same thing.

The shape of each dial
Where the connectors bunch, that grinder’s dial is compressed and single steps count for more. Comparing the two shapes tells you which gives finer control, and where.

Eureka Mignon Specialita
Dialing in the Mignon Single Dose
Single-dose hopper and low retention, aimed at people switching coffees often. The stepless adjustment behaves like the rest of the Mignon range — land near the target and move in small increments.
Dialing in the Mignon Specialita
A stepless espresso grinder first, everything else second. The micrometric adjustment means small movements do real work at the fine end, and the settings below should be read as starting positions rather than detents. It will grind for filter and does it competently, but you are working at the far edge of a dial designed for a different job.
