Eureka Mignon Libra vs Eureka Mignon Specialita
Two Eureka models whose numbers do not mean the same thing. Both turn 0–24 rotations — and the same number is not the same grind.

Which to buy
Choose the
Mignon Libra if you…
- grind by weight — Eureka quotes ±0.2 g from its built-in scale
- pull espresso — Eureka lists the Libra for espresso
- want a Mignon dosing funnel in the box
Choose the
Mignon Specialita if you…
- want timed doses plus an Extra Dose function
- brew filter as well — Eureka lists the Specialita as all purpose and the Libra for espresso
- want a smaller body — 350 mm high and 5.6 kg

The same number means different things
Both grinders use a rotations, which makes it tempting to copy a number straight across. Setting 12.0 rotations sits at grind index 74.3 on the Mignon Libra but 74.3 on the Mignon Specialita — close, but worth checking.
Converting a setting
If a recipe quotes a setting for one of these grinders, read across for the equivalent on the other. Rows are spaced evenly by grind size, not by dial number — on a conical burr those are not the same thing.

The shape of each dial
Where the connectors bunch, that grinder’s dial is compressed and single steps count for more. Comparing the two shapes tells you which gives finer control, and where.

Eureka Mignon Specialita
Dialing in the Mignon Libra
The Mignon with an integrated scale, grinding by weight rather than time. The dial behaves like the rest of the Mignon range; what changes is dose repeatability, not grind character.
Dialing in the Mignon Specialita
A stepless espresso grinder first, everything else second. The micrometric adjustment means small movements do real work at the fine end, and the settings below should be read as starting positions rather than detents. It will grind for filter and does it competently, but you are working at the far edge of a dial designed for a different job.
