The method

  1. 0:00Put 140 g of ice in the carafe. It counts as part of your water
  2. 0:00Bloom with 50 g of hot water50g
  3. 0:45Pour to 140 g140g
  4. 1:30Pour the remaining hot water to 220 g220g
  5. 3:30Swirl the carafe until the ice has melted, then serve

BrewMark’s notes

The 140 g of ice plus 220 g of hot water gives you the full 360 g of brew water — you are not diluting, you are chilling. Flash-chilling locks in the aromatics that slow cold brew loses, which is why this tastes like the coffee and cold brew tastes like chocolate.
