In brief
The Sculptor 064 is a compact electric single-dose grinder. It uses 64 mm turbo flat burrs that Timemore says are focused on pour-over. Its sibling, the 064S, shares the body but uses flat burrs meant for espresso as well.
It is discontinued. Timemore's US store now sells only the 078 versions of the Sculptor, and lists the 064 turbo burrs as unavailable.
What remains is a used-market brew grinder. It suits someone who weighs each dose for pour-over and wants flat burrs in a small footprint. The trade-off is that it will not make espresso.
What it does well
- Timemore designed the 064 turbo burrs for pour-over and high uniformity
- Brushless PID motor that Timemore says runs smoothly without shaking
- Coffee Chronicler found the 064S body very quiet and low in retention
- Rotary knocker and magnetic lid, per Timemore; Coffee Chronicler rates the knocker above the Fellow Ode's
Where it falls short
- No longer sold by Timemore; the 064 turbo burrs are listed as unavailable
- Cannot grind for espresso, per Coffee Chronicler
- Coffee Chronicler found the hopper lets some beans hang up and popcorn on the 064S
- Reaching the burrs means removing six screws, per Coffee Chronicler

What it does well
The burrs are the point. Timemore says the 064 turbo burrs were co-developed with Grindinglabs and designed with two layers "to achieve high uniformity." Its 078 turbo burrs follow the same idea at a larger size.
One Home-Barista forum member, summarising early video reviews, rated the cup highly. That poster ranked the 064 level with SSP MP burrs for filter, and ahead of the Fellow Ode Gen 2. Treat that as one enthusiast's reading, not a measurement.
The platform is well thought out. Coffee Chronicler reviewed the 064S, which Coffee Chronicler calls similar to the 064. It found the body "one of the quietest grinders I've ever tried," with very low retention.
Timemore fits a brushless motor with PID control, which it says runs smoothly and does not shake. A rotary knocker shakes fines out of the spout, and the magnetic lid stops beans hopping.
Where it falls short
It cannot grind fine enough for espresso. Coffee Chronicler says the 064 "cannot grind for espresso," and Timemore positions its turbo burrs for pour-over only.
The hopper is imperfect. On the 064S, Coffee Chronicler found that some beans don't slide down to the burrs as intended, and popcorning can be a concern. The review covers the 064S, so treat this as likely rather than confirmed for the 064.
Servicing takes tools. Coffee Chronicler notes that reaching the burr chamber means removing six screws, where many rivals offer tool-free access.
Parts are the long-term risk. Timemore's burr page lists the 064 turbo burrs as unavailable, and a used unit has no maker's warranty.
Who should buy it, and who shouldn't
Consider one used if you brew pour-over, AeroPress or drip, one dose at a time. It suits a small counter and an early-morning kitchen where noise matters.
Skip it if you might want espresso later. Skip it too if you grind for several people at once, or want a grinder you can still buy burrs for easily.
How it compares
The Timemore Sculptor 078 is the same platform with 78 mm burrs, and Timemore still sells a pour-over version. See the dials in Sculptor 064 vs Sculptor 078.
The Fellow Ode Gen 2 is the brew-only flat-burr grinder most buyers weigh against it. Coffee Chronicler rates the 064S workflow above the original Ode's, and calls the Ode's knocker "not nearly as effective" as the rotary one. The Home-Barista poster above ranked the 064 ahead of the Ode Gen 2 for filter.
The DF64 Gen 2 is a 64 mm single-dose grinder that also handles espresso. Compare them in DF64 Gen 2 vs Sculptor 064.
Owning it
Use the rotary knocker after each dose to clear the spout. For a deeper clean, our guide to cleaning a burr grinder covers removing and brushing the burrs.
Static and popcorning are worth managing. Our guide to reducing grinder static covers the usual fixes.
Before buying, ask whether the burrs have been replaced and with what. Timemore still lists 064S flat burrs, for pour-over and espresso, so confirm fit before buying a set.
